Betsy Butler joined Georgia State University’s Office of Research Integrity in January of 2013. She graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Biology in 2002 from Johnson C. Smith University in Charlotte, N.C. She brings more than 12 years of experience in medical research as a laboratory manager and lead research specialist. Betsy is responsible for making sure all staff, faculty and students working with hazardous biological reagents/chemicals and radioactive materials are properly trained, documented, and in compliance with state and federal regulations. She is responsible for issuing radiological film badges, recording radiological inventory, as well as arranging waste removal and pick up.
