Susan Vogtner, CIP, is the Associate Director of the Human Research Protection Program at Georgia State University. She is responsible for overseeing the administration of the Full and expedited boards, the development of policies and procedures for efficient review of human subjects research protocols, and managing the review of studies involving human subjects. Ms. Vogtner serves as the Vice-Chair of the Expedited Board at GSU, is a member of the Full Board at GSU and previously served on the Center for Advanced Brain Imaging (CABI) joint board at GSU and Georgia Tech. She has extensive experience in the regulations governing human subjects’ protection, ethical standards, and local policies and laws impacting human subjects. Ms. Vogtner holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems from GSU, a Master’s in Public Administration from Columbus State University, and a Master’s in Pharmacy and Regulatory Affairs from the University of Georgia.
