NIH is requiring changes to formats for all Biosketches on all proposals submitted on or after May 25, 2025. On or after this date, all NIH biosketches must be created and formatted using SciENcv. NIH requires all Key Personnel to submit biosketches using the SciENcv format. Instructions and formats are available in SciENcv, with instructions and additional information also available on the NIH website (https://www.nlm.nih.gov/ncbi/workshops/2023-02_SciENcv/NIH_Biosketches.html). There is also a pre-recorded webinar that will guide you through how to use SciENcv to create you biosketch if you have never done this before (https://www.nlm.nih.gov/ncbi/workshops/2023-02_SciENcv/workshop-details.html).
Now is a perfect time to get your SciENcv profile in shape and integrate ORCID to streamline building your biosketch! The University Library provides guidance and assistance to faculty with ORCID and with SciENcv. The GSU library ORCID page has additional information and resources: https://research.library.gsu.edu/orcid. NIH also provides a great walkthrough to help you create your biosketch using SciENcv which can be found here: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/sciencv/. What is SciENcv?
