Review and approval of changes of previously approved animal use protocols may be handled administratively by the IACUC Chair and veterinarian(s). Consultation with the IACUC Chair is documented for all non-procedural requests and the veterinarian(s) for requests for new strains and change in animal numbers. The Chair and/or veterinarian(s) may refer any request to the IACUC for review for any reason and must refer any request that does not meet the parameters of the IACUC review and approval guidelines.
